Games of the Caddo Tribe
I first taught historic games at Caddo Mounds State Historic Site. Here are some of the tribal games I learned about.
These are games that involve some kind of board for player tokens to move around on. Different cultures might make the board out of of cloth, wood, stone, or even simply draw it in the dirt. Tokens could be physical pawns, multiple carved pieces, or just rocks and seeds.
Common goals in board games include racing to the end, capture of opponent pieces, and control of territory.
