Sometimes you can’t believe everything you read. An author in 1975 claimed the Romans created Hopscotch to add interest for his readers. So what’s true?

Playground games, as the name implies, are usually played outdoors. Some require equipment, such as chalk to draw a playing area, or a ball, jump rope, etc. Other playground games don’t require anything except the players, such as Tag or Hide and Seek.
However, every playground game has a physical component, some type of exercise. This might be running, jumping, hitting a ball, or anything else that involves moving the body.
