A connection game is what most people think of when they play with dominoes. Generally, they involve matching the ends of a layout with a tile from your hand. Some games might involve a bit of math, where the numbers add up to a certain total instead of matching.
A “spinner” is a common concept in these games, where a domino with equal ends is played in such aa way that new lines may branch off from it.
Most connection games score points by either forming specific totals with the ends of the layout, or penalty points given to opponents for what is left in their hand when someone runs out of dominoes to play.
